Gu Xiong has received numerous awards and has collaborated with artists from England, the United States, China and Canada. He has written two books as well as articles for art catalogues, magazines and newspapers. Gu Xiong is a Chinese-Canadian artist dedicated to migrant issues and global flows of culture, memories, and identity. His work is represented in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, the China National Museum of Fine Arts, and the Vancouver Art Gallery, among many other museums and private collections.
